Lizzy Zultoski joined Smith and Lowney in the summer of 2011 and focuses on water and wildlife cases. Lizzy earned her J.D. from Lewis and Clark Law School and was inducted into the Cornelius Honor Society in 2010. Lizzy also earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Environmental Law, cum laude, from Lewis and Clark in 2011.
Prior to joining Smith and Lowney, Lizzy worked on farmed animal advocacy on behalf of the Farm Sanctuary as a legal fellow with the Animal Law Clinic at Lewis and Clark Law School. During law school, Lizzy worked as a law clerk at the Northwest Environmental Defense Center, the Crag Law Center, and the Southern Environmental Law Center, and was a clinical student at the Pacific Environmental Advocacy Center. As a law clerk and clinical student, she focused on citizen enforcement actions and permit appeals under a variety of statutes, including the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, and the Endangered Species Act. Her work involved environmental issues associated with off-shore oil exploration, coal-fired power plants, state water quality standards, and stormwater runoff from highways.
Lizzy also holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Biology from Denison University. Before law school, she worked as an Ohio EPA air toxics intern, a wilderness trip leader, a camp counselor, and a garden program coordinator.
